Escorts 2nd SAS

Build it out of some serious toobage. The ones in ex are 3" 1/4"wall Dom. I have never seen driveshafts take a beating like these do

But how would it be at highway speeds. Remember this is my DD.

What if u Use that as a trail shaft and save the aluminum for dd use?

They balance just fine. Expect some power loss due to more rotating mass.

A 5.0 would solve that problem.

I know some of the driveshaft builders will balance the thicker stuff. If no one local does it, High Angle does it and Tom Woods does it. High Angle is usually cheaper than TW.

The trail shaft/driveshaft is a great idea. In the time it takes to air up or down your tires, you could have the driveshaft swapped out. This would be the cheapest route.

After twisting and destroying 3 driveshafts in my ranger, I will have a trail shaft for D.

Stop it! Wife is going to kill me...what's this $5k dollars taken out of our savings? Um, don't worry about it.
Lol

Its like when my wife and I started getting serious when we were dating. She asked me how many bank accounts i had. I said one. She said, where is your savings account? (btw, she is a banker) I simply pointed to the Ranger and my Powerstroke (well, it was a Duramax at the time but you get the point). She just shook her head :icon_welder:

That is what I will do, have a trail driveshaft since I always carry a spare with me.

It is a little annoying to have to change it, but its also annoying to air down and back up. So I just lump them together

When you have OBA, airing up and down isn't to bad.

All parts are ordered and on the way. Should be here by next week.

Ordered a few things from Ballistic that no one else had, an hour after the order was placed I got an email with tracking number.

So in a few weeks I will have all the 1ton TRE's for sale.

Use the code "return" and you get a pretty decent discount from Ballistic
