Roll over

My buddy did this to his B2

And we fixed it by doing this

Is that even the same Bronco?

That's at the landing spot of the roll... the roof is pretty screwed at that point... although since it was in sand it was pretty minor compared to how it could have been if it was on rocks or something more sturdy! I've got more pics of the repair process somewhere I'll put up this weekend...

If you get the headliner of your BII out of the way you'll have 100% more access to the roof panel than I had (Ranger's have a full double roof, I had to pull the panel to get anywhere...)

Roll over

That's after I got home, a buddy laid across the seats and pushed the roof up to make it stick up instead of down...

Roll over

There you can see the damage to the drivers side (the side it landed on)

cab needed to be squared up...

The rear spring mounts got a bit tweaked, this was my repair process :)

Yeah, I would rather my top look like yours when you rolled it, it would look a hell of a lot better then it does now. Plus I'm going to paint the top flat black when I'm done because I heard that hides a lot of stuff

RICO9 do you have it posted anywhere on how you sealed up your cab? That's the only thing I'm worried about.

I would hammer it out working through the side window. One hand inside hammering and the other on the roof countering the hammer.

I plan to hammer it all out and do the best I can, and see what I have to work with.

Haha no, its a bronco 2 frame with a regular cab ranger and a bobbed bed put on it.

The impact from rolling it broke the frame.

On a trail rig , that damage just adds patina. Wabbout camo paint? :D

If it was strictly a trail rig I would leave it alone but I drive it to work and around town every once in awhile. So Il fix most of the dents and paint it either desert tan or od green.

How did you seal it up top since the hatch is fiberglass? Did you use a lot of bondo?

First I screwed the top and sides together with some self tapping screws. Then I cut the big piece of angle iron for the bottom and used nuts and bolts with washers on the inside. Then a whole bunch of fiberglass, then filler, then sand and paint. I never did anything about the bottom corners but some sheet metal could easily be used to seal it up down there. Then I used a spare hatch and cut the top part off to use as a tail gate. I was planning on doing a ranger tail gate and bed sides but I never got around to it. Instead I just slapped on some diamond plate bed rails and called it good.

Here are a couple more pics.

If I was going to do a body swap I would probably just buy another b2 or ranger to drive it. But my b2 has been in the family since new so its one of those things I want to keep around until I can't anymore. Plus I already own it so it kind of makes it cheaper for me to just drive this one and pop some dents.

My parts truck was only $400. It's still the same truck underneath....

Yeah, I found a great looking 87 but I don't know if the body swap would be very easy or not since they are both different body styles.
