Kroussin 93 Explorer build

soon. it takes awhile for me to upload pics so i'll do them along with some others once they are actally on the truck. times like this i wish i had one of thems smart pheoney thingy's.

It makes life easier when it comes to doing stuff like uploading pics to photobucket, responding to threads on trs with tapatalk and Facebook. I have a Samsung galaxy s2 from Sprint or you can call it what it says below.

yep. Those are pretty ugly

so I'm workin on my O.B.A. at the moment. The thing I noticed with it setup on the mazda is the tank quickly droped psi once air was used I was runnning a little 1.5 gallon tank so it didnt have much reserve I once tested the system by adding in another tank (mybe 4 gallons) using an aditional air hose between the two But it didnt have much of an effect on how long it took to air up a tire (maybe seconds).

so my question now is...
I am having a hard time finding a descent place for even the small tank that is out of the way and protected so I am thinking about running the system without an air tank and just using a distribution block since I allready have one. the block would hold all the necissary items such as relief valve, pressure switch, gauge, inlet and outlet. The check valve will be located a little closer to the compressor. does anyone see any HUGE problems with this?

the way i see it, if i really do start "needing" that reserve on a regular basis i can throw the tank in back and just have a quick coupler on the inlet and outlet and run it after the distribution block if needbe but for normal airing of tires i will just run the line off the distribution block.

Well I gave it a quick test run and seems to work fine. no abnormal noises from the compressor. seems to air a 37 just as quickly as the previous setup. need to pick up more fittings and some electrical stuff to wrap everything up and be ready for the next trip. Didnt try the air blower on it but will need to try that before i committ to not carrying a tank since that and an air chuck are the only things I bring with me on the trail

I like having a tank for when the truck is not running.

thought bout that but with my truck off and a full tank of air it has VERY little affect on a flat 37. and if my truck wont start then i'm not very sure i'm going to be concerned about a flat tire. i have and will drive it on a rim in an emergency

Can't fit a tank under her where the spare tire would be?
