plenty of room now, just need to get some longer bolts

i think i have a good line on some 33x12.50's for cheap, but i dont know yet. they're about an hour away and i dont have much time after work this week. we'll see

deal on the tires fell through :annoyed: so now i'm on the lookout for some more. i'm kinda at a standstill without them. i have a few lines on some 32s, but they arent street worthy, i could only use them to move it in and out of the garage.

still did some messing around with the steering, i think i'm gonna end up shortening the trackbar and the draglink. the axle is about half an inch to an inch out of center.

mocked it up with everything but the tires

Im curious as to why you didnt make the track bar adjustable...Or did you?

You want an adjustable track bar...my axle sits slightly to the driverside.

The track bar is adjustable.....I have a 3/4" heim on the frame mount. I may end up putting a new offset axle mount on though. It needs to go to the driver side a little more

finally in town for a weekend to actually get some shit done on this thing. i'm still on the lookout for tires. i found some 32" swampers that a dude was trying to sell, but he's still got them on his truck, he said he'd let me know when he takes them off. ughh....more waiting.

i did manage to get my upper shock mounts built today. started with left 2x2x.250 tube and cut it in half

added some flat plate and drilled a hole for the stud.

they should work til i can afford to drop some coin on some f250 mounts and new shocks.

Nice job man. That looks pretty good. I may have missed it but are you still running a flux core welder?

thanks

yeah, it's a lincoln 125. good enough for 1/4". you can see some slag in pic where i'm holding the mount

I paid less than $15 a piece for my F250 shock mounts....But you're right, shocks is where the money's at.

Thought so...The welds look good man.

I'm running a tractor supply welder that's about the same. I need to get more use out of it...I've just been maintaining my truck.

yeah, they look decent for 99.9% self taught. i got a 30 second "this is the on button, clamp this thing on the metal and then go back and forth in a u-shape" from the shop teacher in college.

You might want to look into Rustysoffroad.com. They have some great shocks for around $100 each. They're remote reservoir and have great reviews.

The site lists thier shocks by length so it's farily easy to find what you're looking for.
