I haven't been watching the focus thread, what happened with it?

First compression issues, then once I got it running the oil ring in cyl 1 broke after 2k, then after 4k cylinder 4 is burning oil. I'm done taking the motor apart.

In fact I sold the supercharger kit today. Putting the motor back to stock for now until I fully decide what direction I am going with it.
 
Sounds to me like the boost is finally catching up to stock internals. You should have kept the supercharger but still taken it off like you did, find you a spare block to do a complete rebuild of the short block with forged internals with some boost friendly mods ( secrets ) and then drop her in with the charger on the new motor with a smaller pulley. But I can still see your pint of getting frustrated with it and just saying f&%@ it... :icon_thumby:

They were forged internals. I have been having ring problems.
 
Sounds like an oil/heat problem.

What rings were you using?

OEM replacements for the SVT rod/piston combo.
 
Next time try the gapless rings, I've heard nothing but good from the boosted world...

What you waiting on? Get em. While your at it find 2 5.0 motors, you'll need em :D

I question what the 302 may be for.....
 
I emailed that one. Also picked this little thing up yesterday. Total cost $55.
