Well I worked on SGT Ex Saturday...
I went to the JY to pick up a set of doors. Well, doors ain't cheap, so I decided to take advantage of a 50 bucks all you can carry at a local yard. I dunno if you guys know this, but these suckers are hella heavy when carrying them by the handle. I could only carry 2 and after that I said screw it! I did manage to get a bumper, hitch, speakers, AC controls, and an alternator for the red ranger
First we decided to change the driver door. When I was removing it, I dropped it... On my toe. The nail was ripped off and the toes are all bruised, but I should be back to normal soon. I tried driving the red truck yesterday. I can't push the clutch fast enough for normal driving, and I can't push the e-brake down, so still no luck there. Foot is still swollen enough to keep me from getting a shoe on. Hoping this weekend I can get back in Lil Red.

This dent is from when the door hit my foot. I don't know how it didn't break anything....
And of course, my nasty ass toe

Ouch. Thats gotta suck. I broke my pinky toe a few years ago. Couldn't walk or wear a shoe without pain. I feel for you.

Flip flops and skater shoes are more comfy
Actually in the cooler months I wear my desert boots from the mc. When it's hot out, I always wore tennis shoes or flip flops (told I was a hippy) but that may change after this latest endeavor.

No matter the season, I'm wearing pants and steel toes when I work. I've had that happen before as well. Lesson learned for sure.

used to do metal fab in basketball shorts and flip flops. after melting the shorts in the crotch area, I decided to go to jorts or khaki paints and skater shoes. This lasted all the way until now... Likely be khaki and low top steel toe shoes.
