Installing Radiator IN FRONT of the Support!

I take it as he needs to move the rad ahead so he can run the fan he wants and the fan would be where his current radiator is.

The Taurus fan is pretty thick, darn near 4" IIRC.

The stock mechanical fan has to be atleast that...

That is the goal. The Taurus fan is damn near as thick as the old James Duff Radiator.

My big question is what temperature is the lower rad hose

Shame on me! I've even got an infrared thermometer but that bit of info will have to wait until the swap is done.

I appreciate all the suggestions and it never hurts to revisit even the best solution I can come up with.

Who needs ac when you have ice cold beer... Speaking of which, it's payday, my bike needs an oil change, we had a chinook last night, and I'm waiting out the 4 hour gap (which I thought was 3, so I didn't go home to nap) between my 2 shifts on this double...

Might try some of that CLIT I've heard advertised so much!

Mine is in the same holding pattern, after coming home from work it just doesn't seem that fun to be outside when it is that hot.

Who needs ac when you have ice cold beer...

It don't stay cold very long when it is that warm

Put your beer in a foam cup and then fill it with ice. Only thing you will have to get around is sipping it through a straw.

Thats my poor mans solution to the problem.

Well, after suffering through the heat all weak....new records Thurs and Fri and possibly for the next few days...I've decided to join you..

Doing country ribs in a few minutes and that is as long as I'm gonna spend outside!

...but after having seen those fans with the water cooling...you know, the radiator with water circulating through them to cool the air and used in warehouses, etc....well, I have the radiator....the fan...AND a pump.....after a few more beers I'll discount the effort, but oh the possibilities!

on my way home from work last night, i picked up some CLIT, i was planning on enjoying it while i pooped... but then i remembered when i got home, that my house is full of people that i don't know, and thought it might be inappropriately to enjoy some CLIT while i pooped, so i had some in the kitchen, and even offered some to my roommate (who wasn't here)'s 18 year old cousin, and together we both enjoyed some CLIT, and i'll tell you, it was just about the perfect temperature right until i was done...

Ok, so I did sweat my ass off but made some progress.

More cutting and grinding and finally am satisfied with the position.

Ground down the bumper brackets to let the condenser go further down.

Cut the hood latch assembly and notched it so it will fit back on.

And thrilled that the stock hood latch can be retained....had to dimple the condenser a bit..

The hood latch bracket will double as the retainer bracket for the top of the radiator and will run an aluminum strap between the radiator and condenser to strengthen it.

Did a test fit of the front valance and everything is going to fit! Now to install some silicone isolating stripping and a bit of paint on the bare metal and I can get the front end reassembled.

Ok...radiator is in! You can tell by the pics how close everything is..

I've got my radiator hose problem solved too! Bought 4 hoses from various vehicles with the proper bends and will use exhaust tubing to piece them together.

Now I'm working on a removable radiator support made of 1/4" aluminum that the fan will be permanently attached to.......but it looks like the WP pulley and idler assembly will need removed to get it in or out...
