daily doubler build

Mine is a rubber mounted cab and solid cage, It flexes a little, the only place it touches is a hole the cage goes through in the back of the cab. However I am planning on welding my cab to my cage and solid mounting the cab

id weld in the a and b pillars to the cage with same dimple dies tossed in same as the desert guys. it looks sweet stregthens everything so if u do roll the cab doesnt smoosh till it hits the cab. and it will stop any sound cause the cage cant hit

I'm solid mounted on both too. I ran it rubber mounted body with a solid cage before and it squeeked and made all kinds of noise on a hard twist unless you cut alot around the holes in the floor.

Didn't they pull the interior cage out of the danger ranger and added a exo?

This. Yes they did, because there was no room and it was uncomfortable.... Hint... Hint....

Did you guys check out any of those builds? Look at post #6 in this one at least:

http://www.dezertrangers.com/vb/general-off-road-talk/133695.htm#

These guys are losing virtually zero cab space. Some of them are even able to put the OEM A-pillar plastics back on.

I've thought about going exo, but Petersen's literally did exactly what I would've done if I went the exo route. Minimal and subtle. If I do that now, I'll be a copy cat. haha.

Could just add a bunch of dimpled 1/8" plate into the stock cab and strengthen it up that way. The sheet metal will be a write off if ya flop/roll it anyways, your just worried about the cab folding on ya.

Dude... Everyone copies. Just add an extra gusset or two. Then it's "your own" ;)

A removable exo just over the cab would be different. You could weld some plate in the openings in your sliders, then bolt some matching plates to those to build the cage on. Just an idea.

Memorial Day weekend was fairly productive.
