2.8 ltr v6 sensors.

I have a 2.8 ltr v-6 that has a broken sensor. The location is on the drivers side of the engine block, just in front of the starter. I have taken the parts to an auto parts store, no help there. Any one have an idea?

whats the basis behind this sensor being the part particularly? When you took it to the auto parts store they didnt just say heres a new one? im not sure without looking at mine but it sounds like the oil pressure sensor? take a pic and post it one of the sensor it self and one where it is on the engine if you cant take a picture try and describe it better

I agree with Brownie. It is very hard to say for sure without seeing it, but from the location you described the oil pressure sensor is about the only thing it could be.

Sounds like your knock sensor to me
Sorry I though you said 2.9 not sure if the 2.8 used one
