Getting a 1995 Ford ranger 4.0 4x4 auto ( Wanted a manual...maybe later i'll swap)
Getting it for 800, not too bad seeing most rangers around here are 1500+ for 4 cylinders.

has 195k on it, i guess everything works good drive train wise, we'll see when i go look at it. , just needs brake lines on one side and wheel studs. another problem is it's an extended cab..with a long bed. i don't know much about that but i hope it isn't rigged. i know he didn't extend the frame or anything because the wheels still sit at the front of the wheel well and he trimmed the wheel wells.
I'm probably gonna go pick it up this weekend.
What do you think? It's a bit of a drive but for 800 it sounds good, most trucks like this go for like 3k+ atm.( in good condition with not much work needed, but with about the same miles. )

Did they put a long bed on it? Is that why the rear axle is kissing the rear fender?

i wouldn't buy it. looks like it has frame damage (maybe the bed isn't attached correctly?). I would wait for a manual truck because the auto it that will more than likely crap out on you.
Yeah it looks like a long bed is on it.

they did put a long bed on it. they said they drilled new holes and attached it, How bad is that?

I'd check it out in person. if it looks decent maybe put a regular short bed back on it and fix the front a little and run it..

that's what i was planning on doing, as long as the bed isn't totally rigged on there it's probably going to come home with me. that or attaching the bed the right way.

all extended cabs if I'm thinking correctly were short beds. looks like they used what they had at the time..

yeah there isn't a stock ranger like this, which is why i figured it would be cool to fix it up right.

That looks hilarious... Maybe a salvage yard would trade beds with you......high hopes but maybe they would just want a little extra cash. Just make sure to get under and and see if the frame is trashed and make sure it drives straight. Possibly have someone follow you to make sure the truck isnt "dog tracking".

^^^Ya..that looks dorky....lol. WTF happened there??

probably either really wanted a long bed or the old bed was rusted out and they got this for cheap. doubt they'd trade for a short bed as the wheel wells are trimmed a little.

Uhhh, I think that by the time you get it looking right, you would have been better off buying something else. It looks to me like that bed is one good bump from becoming severely damaged, not to mention the tires.

I'm not trying to be a dick, I just see some safety concerns from the pics you posted.

I Don't see anything wrong, As long as the tires aren't rubbing and the frame isn't trashed because of the way the bed is on it. and who cares what it looks like, it's going to be my first truck, and it's only 800.

I just hate to see you get into a money pit man. And from my judgement, that's what that truck is. But hey man, it's your rig. And there's plenty of help on here for you.

I was just answering this:
