About a year ago a guy a couple towns over was chasing a burguler out of his yard with a loaded shotgun, tripped on a wheelbarrow and shot the guy in the butt. No charges were filed.

I believe that here in jersey, I would go to jail if I pulled my shotgun on someone who broke into my house and threatened my family.... I'll never understand that.....

We had a guy that tried something like that... if it wasn't the drag marks on the gravel road and across the field to the well the guy didn't fit into he might have gotten away with it. Yes, he drug him behind his pickup...still alive at that point too.

It was over a land dispute though, the shooter got posession of some ground the guy that got killed was renting and did weird stuff to him trying to get him to get out before the contract was up. Shutting off water, opening gates and letting cattle out... and then when he was confronted about it on the side of the road out came the .22 from behind the truck seat.

He got off too...

not here. back around christmas, a 14 year old killed an intruder in his house. i think they gave him a medal
