Taking off a 1354 electric T case

I am doing a clutch on my 94, 4.0 4x4 5 spd. How many bolts hold the T-case to the transmission? I have taken out 6 10mm x 50mm bolts., the cables are off and the shafts too. Is there anything else holding it in? It isnt budging. Also how much does it weigh? Thanks
 
6 bolts sounds about right. The T-case isn't super heavy. It's light enough that I can pick one up and move it around on my own, but heavy enough that I like to have help taking them off and putting them on and I have trouble benching them up off my chest.
 
6...:icon_confused: There's only 5 bolts that hold the T-case and trans together, and one of them cant be fully removed from the trans without pulling the trans mount first.
 
Yep, should only be 5...

I always drop the tranny with the t-case.
 
It should weigh 100 lbs +/-. Heavy enough that you feel it on your chest. I had mine out twice last winter. I bought a cheap tranny jack after doing that twice, next time will be easier. The tcase is probably getting caught up on the steel alignment pin between the tranny and tcase. The steel and aluminum don't get along very well in corrosive environments and want to stick together. Hammers and pry bars all around were required to get mine out after years of road salt.

+1 on 5 bolts.
 
Last 13-54 I shipped was 74lbs with the shifter. (drained and boxed, ready to go.)

Yah there is only 5, And it was hung up on the dowel . Bars and hammers were used. BTW, the mount doesnt need removing if you hacksaw the head off the bolt :D

The dowel is where I got the extra bolt. I didn't have one in front of me so I pulled up the shop manual and looked at the exploded pic, counted 6 holes in the gasket, and forgot about the dowel.
 
I'm just a noobie hack muddling my way through. I'm just glad I found this forum. I dropped the T-case onto a jeep wheel with a piece of micro-lam and a few blocks of wood. It was light enough to handle. Lighter than my Jeep's 229 TC. Even with the front shaft attached , it was no big deal to handle. Tomorrow after work, I'll start on the transmission, so I'll prolly be asking more question tomorrow night , Thanks guys.
