Yes, I'm a girl, and YES, I talk a lot of S**T

Not many men have ever been able to handle me. My diesel mechanic handles my sassiness pretty well though, he even shares his beers with me!!! lol (We have different tastes in liquor, I like Jack, Captain and JAGER!!! He likes Alaskan Amber, and Crown.)

And you're how old?

Yeah, that's my diesel mechanic brushing almost a foot of snow off his truck. He's currently looking for a new F250, and I wouldn't mind a turbo charged ranger for my DD and a lifted F350 for my mudder. We mostly judge our trucks on how many snowmachines you can haul. lol:headbang:

New new, or new to him new?

I have so far not been impressed with the 6.7L in terms of off-road application.

We have seen a lot of problems with the urea systems on oil-field and crane-crew trucks. Part of it might be that the chassis-cabs have the tank and pump exposed, but I think more of it is the crap the trucks get driven through.

Anyway, the exhaust fluid for those things is freakin' expensive too. ~$20/gallon.

The 6.4 was better about fuel system issues than the 6.0, but you have to be able to take the cab off of them to do almost anything.

But then again, if he is an actual diesel tech and not just a dirt-lot boy then I probably can't tell you anything about them that he doesn't already know.

seeing as how she keeps mentioning lima bean this and lima bean that, i wouldnt be surprised if lima bean was behind all this F-ing with us lol

i can put up pics of different stuff and claim that their mine, watch....

Sounds cool...and even if the truck isnt modded its still cool..my ranger is 100% stock haha..(well besides the EGR being blocked off) :shok:

Lily is currently stock, but not for long. How did you block you EGR off? That's the current issue with my truck, at least by what Lima Bean and I have figured out so far besides the obvious things. I have to make quite the shopping list for my truck.

At random times my idle would drop to almost dieing, and at first I thought it was the CAT, then maybe the O2, and people were tellin me Fuel Pump. But none of those fully explained what was happening. Then my truck died on me 30 miles from town, and over the phone Lima Bean had to help me, finally I was going down a busy highway doing 35mph in a 65mph zone. NOT FUN. Then suddenly my idle jumped back to normal and my truck speeded up like a freaking bottle rocket!!! since then idle hasn't dropped on me. but when I start it up in the morning the idle is all up and down randomly.

might be some ice/water floating around in your tank...

back when my truck was a...

back when my truck was a ford ranger, i had some issues with water that cause all kinds of crazy shit like that. ethanol is the devil:annoyed: just a glob from a bad load of fuel etc can do that.

need to get a fuel pressure gauge and check your fuel tank plug...possibly dieing the green death of corrosion on ya.

Have you tried unhooking the EGR valve?

Hey Bobby yea this isnt ethanol country up here but she is good about running heet in her tank. Hers just does it once in awhile out of the blue. When we had it in the shop we checked and cleaned all the connections, cleaned the MAF sensor ect. and ran out of time. Next time we are going to check and clean the EGR, IAT, coolant temp ect. If i get my guage back I will check her fuel press also. Any more suggestions let us know. Thanks

I so can't believe this thread is still going too funny! It's getting a little old but still funny. AK you gotta check yourself from time to time, just think before you put it out there. I've known girls like you. Good people at heard but all hardcore, pedal to the metal, wild as heck all the time. When you see them and have a short in the brain to mouth funcionality or in this case brain to keyboard. It's all good just think about it before you type it. Still enjoying the hell outta this threa though:icon_thumby:

That is an awesome trait in a woman. Can't tell you how many times my wife and I have looked at something walking upright in Walmart and wondered if it was males or female.

Peopleofwalmart.com FTW:icon_twisted: (for the win in this case)

Codes? Maybe code 332? (low EGR flow).Check and clean EGR is a great idea. Also check that DPFE sensor and all the vacuum lines. Disconnecting EGR is not so good an idea as it will be sure to set those codes!

Thanks man, about tired of these bone head flamers and thread jackers picking on a 19 year old girl. All ya have to do is look at her profile visits and see what the behind the screen lotion queens are thinking though... yep we been watchin heh heh. Please contribute positivly from here on out or STFU and leave, personal attacks and flaming are against TRS rules (ask me how i know that). We would really appreciate input on her trucks problem on that thread though. Thank you.

That could be she does have a CEL on and she was told it was 224. Next time in the shop we will check it for sure and pull stored codes if any. Thanks for the input!

Did you inspect all the wiring and connectors, clean the connectors with electrical cleaner inspect for corrosion and use dielectric grease to put them back together. Pull all the grounds apart and sand them metal to metal. Fix any burnt broken or cracked wires and then reset the computer and erase the memory and run it for 20 mins at medium speeds and then run the codes while the engine is still hot. Erratic problems are usually wiring related if it was mechanical it would be more consistent. To test the egr at an idle apply manifold vacuum to it the engine should stall or you can use a hand vacuum pump or just suck on the hose to it. If you change or clean a sensor you need to reset the computer by disconnecting the battery for 1/2 an hour. GL

We suppose to treat her differently? She got the same type of response anyone else with that type of intro post would've received. She seems like she wants to be treated equally, and she has been. In fact, a guy probably would've gotten more grief. I really don't even think anyone has even flamed her and she was almost banned.

And if she's got a bunch of profile views, it's because she told people to look at the photos. Everyone wants to see the F-250 she claims can run over Rangers.
