header issues

I think the issue with the Hedmans, if they were 89500s, was using the convertible mustang mounts with the AA plates. I used mounts from a Bronco 302 w/ AA plates, that was the only thing that was different on mine than yours and they fit OK. But the headers you are getting are a better choice to go with.

Im going to be using the exploder 5.0 maifolds that came with my 302.

I do want ask though, if you guys did run true dual exhaust, what does it all look like i.e where did you run them, muffler placement/type, etc...?

I used different headers, the glasspacks ended up a little ways past the t-case, the exhuast goes back from there over the axle, over the frame and down at a fairly steep angle (down and back) infront of the rear bumper.

I do like my bodylift by the way. :icon_thumby:

I want to avoid a body lift at all costs, I dont like them. I dont want my truck to be loud but have a nice rumble when I do get it all done.

I like the extra clearance everywhere and having the exhaust tucked up inside the frame nearly the whole length of the truck... and having the exhaust come out from the rear rather than a dump and not adding any potential snagging oppertunities.

I really love the sound of a dualed glasspacked V8, so for my toy I went that route. My dd also has glasspacks but with cats and it is much, much tamer... not that the Ranger is really loud by any means.
