i just bought a 93 ranger 4.0 x-cab 4x4 5 speed and noticed that the bracket that the motor mount stud goes through is broke how could this of happened? and also i cant find where to buy a new one would this be a junk yard part? thanks for any and all help :icon_thumby:

Not familiar exactly what part you are referring to, but ya- you can get anything at a junkyard. If u have trouble finding something local try www.car-part.com

the bracket that i think bolts to the block and the motor mount stud goes through and holds the motor in place is cracked in half

Should be widely available. I was wondering if you meant some welded to the frame bracket or something.

So the engine mount is broken. Head the the local parts store. I'll be surprised if Ford can still get that one for a 93, and I'd avoid junk yard units just because the engine has to be lifted part way out of the vehicle to get it.

A big pry bar will do, but it's a pain in the nuts.

i went to advance auto all they have is new rubber motor mounts nothing for a new bracket im thnking of just taking of just taking it off and welding it maybe plate it so it'll be stonger any body think thats a bad idea

Yeah, as long as it's for the OHV engine you should be pretty OK.

No, 98+ IFS trucks use different ones then the TTB trucks.
