disciplerocks's B2 build thread

weld prison bars over it...

or heavy gauge mesh wiring...

lol

I would take 6 plates, with a bolt in the middle, weld the head of the bolt to the plate, then drill 6 hole's in the side of the BII, 3 down each side of the back window, then get three heavy duty bars, and bend the ends down, then weld to the 6 plate, one bar on two plates, this way they are bolted to the side, and with the ends turn into the plates, it won't get stuck in to the tree that it rubs.

I don't have auto cad right now, or I would draw it out for you to get what I'm typing about.

here is a rough sketch in paint to give you a hint to what I'm trying to convey to you, but you would need 12 plates, I for got about the ones on the inside

I get what you're saying. That would work.

And I think I found my clutch/chatter problem. One transmission bolt was about an 1/8 in loose. And my starter was about to fall off! Turns out the bottom hole was stripped so I drilled through the tranny and put a bolt all the way through.

On top of that, I'm glad I had her parked in the garage. When i went in there, its smelled like gas. And sure enough, I have a very small leak in one one of the lines. Might have never seen it, had I not smelled it first.

And being FI, it could only have been a matter of time beore it blew up. Had one of mine blow up on me (when my engine was TBI) and started a fire under the hood of my truck.

This mean green B2 has been kind enough to lend me 2 windows now. At least now my tint will match.

Damn, I didn't think to ask. If you ever find a 4R44E in your J/Y get it for me I'll come and get the bitch from ya on the weekend. +1 if you can get the cross member too. Good find tho.

You are making want a B2 so bad. But of course I could never leave it stock and thats where the money spending begins (and never ends).

Yup. I love it.

Mostly junkyard built, short wheelbase, and I can haul all my stuff in the back and it stays dry. But to be honest, if I would have found an Exp orer sport, I'd be way ahead. It would have already had the D35, 31 spline 8.8, and the 4.0.

I did want a Ranger a while back so I would have a bed to haul things if I needed, but then I built the trailer.
