Bought my friends chopped and bagged '94 Ranger..

Well the windshield is at the glass guy's, hopefully it all comes out good, he wasn't too excited lol.

Also got my new engine this week. Bought it from a friend that had it in his '74 Maverick, he wrecked it and the car was too rusty to be worth fixing back up, so he sold me the engine. Its a roller 302 (5.0 H.O.), with ported 289 heads, edlebrock intake, cam, and 10.1 pistons. I need to get headers, a mustang oilpan, and a carburator (had an edlebrock 750 on it). I plan on running an AOD behind it. It ran a 13.3 on street tires in the Maverick, I may be able to hit that with drag radials on the truck (yes I do plan to race it!).

I do plan on dressing it up with different valve covers, cleaning the intake, and getting a serpentine system for the front with a 100 amp alternator.

Vid of the Mav from back in July..

I wanted one of those:drool:, but I couldn't find anyone to trade with me, So I traded for a 4.0.:icon_thumby:

BUMP! Any more updates on this?

Not really, I've been working on my '92 trying to get it done. This thing is on the backburner for a while.

I sold the 302 back to my buddy, and then he put it in his brothers car. My windshield is still with the glass guy, can you tell I told him to take his time? lol.

well I got another engine..this one isn't quite as radical, but at least it has a transmission attached to it.

Its a 5.0l from a '88 T-bird, and an AOD. Guy I bought it from says the trans has a shift kit, the heads have been redone, and it has a "one step above stock cam", whatever that means, it still has a standard 302 firing order (not H.O), so the cam can't be that great.

Its lookig good!!! Always like the rangers chopped. I wanted to do it to the last two rangers I dropped but was already chopping my '57 F100, they definitely are by no means a easy to do mod. Any dea on what wheels you are going with?

Thats more bodywork than I would care to do. Good job!

If that's a stock ranger bumper (which it looks to be) how the hell did that hole get in there? Looks like a piece of fiberglass that got smacked, but they're metal typically..

Ya its a lot of work for sure, I was pretty pissed off at my buddy the night he decided to do it, because I figured I would be the one finishing it, lol.

my buddy decided it would be a good idea to put a license plate box there, which being the lazy ass he is, was just glued in. I'll dig up a picture of it later. I have a new bumper for it.

Looks to me, someone cut it out to put a plate holder in the bumper.

The positioning seems awkward.

Throw the plate on the dash in the windshield and call it a day, lol.

Ya i wasnt going to leave the plate like that, hence the reason i have a new bumper.

hmmm....

this is the first i've seen of this... awesome
