Spent about 9 hrs in the shop today busting ass on this thing. Ozziemoe was over and we did some kick ass work. Put a serious dent in the project. See the light at the end.

Whats left...

Figure out a pressure line on the p/s.
Plumb all the brakes
Replace tcase
Build drive shafts
Mount rear shocks

Then hope it all works out in the end :sonicjay:

29 hrs into the project so far.

stock ttb line should work depending on what actual pump you have, have to bend it up a bit....i used the van line as well from the saginaw units when running a v8.. i like the 79 box, but not with my big tires....

you guys running at rocks this week? i wont be heading to the badlands and may come to meet and greet if possible.

The 79' box dwarfs those toyota boxes. Its wild.

i laughed when i seen that too....i was surprised there was a question as to what it was...though they are similar looking enough to fool a quick glance without something to scale it to in a picture...

hell, theres guys on here claiming its too big to work:icon_surprised:....

many have been using them on the ttb chassis since the late eighties...and the sla chassis since it hit the lots too...

Yeah all day Saturday and night. Holshotracers bachelor party.

End tally was 43 hours. Just a few adjustments and things to change up from here. I still need to flex it and check front driveshaft and stuff like that. Also need to change the steering gear, this box is fubared.

more pics
Next to my wifes stock 98

Getting an alignment this morning.

Looks like 7"s of susp. lift in the end. Bit of death wobble over 30 mph. But with unbalanced 38.5's on beadlocks, and a trashy steering gear, and I think either new trac bar bushings or maybe going to heims, should be alright.
