Me too, I love watching what I can't see while driving.

Alot smoother than most jeeps ive ridden in. I can actually have a drink in the cup holder most of the time.

If I can find an all aluminum I will, but the place I was going to buy one from doesn't carry them anymore :icon_confused:

try a different vehicle make, you'v got a welder and metal cutting tools, anything is possible

True but I need a radiator NOW, and I am having no luck finding any information about any possible other application radiators that might fit. I'd love to have an all aluminum, larger radiator to replace my current one....no such luck though.

And I really hate to buy another one with freakin plastic end tanks. Stupidest. Idea. Ever.

Here is one I have found:

if you buy another plastic, you're just gonna have more down time later when you have to fix it again. i'd fix it right this time and wait for the next thing on the list to break, lol.

$128 aint bad.

Yeah but that one has no provisions to mount the same way as the one I have now. No wing supports...I wish I could TIG weld....

And it is not as thick.

yes, I had one of my end tanks to crack....but not until I had 136K miles plus....and was the Factory Original...

bought a new OEM radiator ( $165 here ) and have close to 150K now ( I only put maybe 5K a year on it ) with no problems....

dunno how many miles you have, but pretty sure a stocker will last ya a good while.....

The original was rotted out 1 year ago, so I replaced it.

So the replacement I have now is only 1 year old, with about 20k on it. Same as stocker, aluminum cores with plastic end tanks and integrated tranny cooler hook-ups.

I don't know why it failed, but I have a hunch that my radiator cap might be to blame. It might be a 22 psi'er, when the stock one is only supposed to be 13psi.

Why else would a plastic end tank rupture besides pressure and heat? Only other reason is defect (too bad it had a 3 month warranty).

but that's why you have the overflow container, right? the pressure builds up and it can escape through the hose so that it doesnt crack the radiator.

I say buy a new oem radiator a new cap and an external trans cooler to help take some excess heat out of the radiator.
