daily doubler build

I make everyone run their own cable. If it's your shit, you got stuck, you run the cable.

On the contrary, I'll always check out the attachment points to make sure its adequate though. I don't trust most people, with the exception of Bray and Wirsch.

im usually not the one whos stuck just getting others out but that being said when i am stuck chances are i cant open the door... lol

thanks for the answers threadjack over

When I did mine (spool under load) like a dumbass I unspooled to far and ripped the cable off the drum. When I did to it right though, I just put truck in neutral and very lightly dragged the brakes. Had a buddy watch the drum to make sure I got a decent wrap as I went.

I was wondering how one was supposed to do that. I need to respool mine, it got wedged last time out, guess I use it too much lol. I might be on the market for rope anyway, Bray, where did you get your from? I would like to lose the weight up front.

Bumper turned out really good man.

CTBII - They say to leave 5 wraps on the drum, I think I had 6 or 7 though. Around half the drum width anyways. I lightly dragged the brakes at first then I drug it pretty good. When I got to the last layer on my drum, I went ahead and locked up my brakes just to see if itd pull it on the last wrap. It did. I think it'll work.

Kyle - I got my rope from amsteelblue.com. I can't say I did a lot of research as far as cost goes. I know they're a vendor on pirate though, and I like to support those guys. No PBB discount. Lame.

Dustin - Thanks man. I like it more and more everyday. I get a lot of compliments on it.

Here's a pic that I took today. Its supposed to be in the 90's and dry all week. Lookin at hittin the badlands this coming weekend. I don't think I'm gonna put the full size doors on at all until after the trip.

Looks sweet! Did you add tow points to the front?

What's next on the mod list?

Did you add tow points to the front?

Not yet. I was thinking of burning on a couple D rings on the front of the winch plate tube. I know it'd be minimal, but I'd lose some approach angle by doing that, and I'd be bashing them into stuff.

I'll add something in the next couple weeks.

What's next on the mod list?

Immediate mods will probably be body mods (read: dents and scratches :D). I guess next on the list will be a rear bumper/gas tank skid. I've got an idea of what I want to do, just gotta pull the old bumper off to see how it'll pan out.

needs the driver mod :thefinger:

bumper turned out nice man.

needs the driver mod :thefinger:

I usually hear this in reference to the driver needing to lose weight in the drag racing world. If I lose any more weight I'll be as skinny as you. :thefinger:

Headed to the Badlands. WEROCK weekend. I think this is the first time I've got more water than beer in the cooler. That's no good. haha. Check back Sunday night for pitchers.

Love the bumper. Simple but effective. I want to build a tube bumper and this gives me some ideas.
