There was a Tech bulletin from Ford for the Windstar throwing a 170 and 171 at the same time. It was a loose vacuum hose going to the fuel pressure regulator. The fix was to put a plastic tie(zip tie) on it.

My 95 has the same codes and you should do what everyone else has said. And as for the way the EGR tube seals in the intake is a rubber o-ring. All you have to do is remove the upper intake and replace that O-ring and it should seal back up. Be careful when you put the upper intake back on so that you don't pinch your new o-ring.
Well, I figured out what was wrong. I did a DIY project and put on a Thrush Magnum Glasspack on it. well, the Glasspack doesnt shoot back enough air, throwing off the O2 sensors. So, im going to get the local guys to install a flowmaster 40 series straight pipes out the rear for 180.00![]()
