3.0 L V6 Stacks

Hey guys, I have a 3.0L V6 1999 Ranger. I plan on putting stacks on the bad boy. Duel stacks of course. Of course I will be putting headers on the truck then running pipe straight back to the stacks. If anyone has pics on howe they have ran stacks or a ranger with stacks please post it. I am also intrested in finding a website where i can get stacks. Let me know!!

dude, seriously, stacks on a ranger looks ridiculous-- stacks on any pickup looks dumb. but at least its usually a diesel that gets them...

just make sure you post pics when finished. i wanna see if you can change my opinion

Don't make me laugh. Even with a diesel engine, the truck isn't beefy enough or big enough for the look to wiifm.

Stacks, or any true dual exhaust on a 3.0 is going to really kill your backpressure, and will probably hurt your performance and fuel mileage. Headers are expensive, and a pain to install. You're going to spend a bunch of money, and a ton of time fabbing/ installing this exhaust, to make the truck run worse?

Don't do it, it honestly looks like a freshly laid pile of cow turds. Stacks are ugly on a Ranger. Leave them to the full-size diesels and semi trucks.

You want to kill back pressure. It takes work to shove the exhaust gasses out of a crappy exhaust system--work better used to drive the wheels.

Stacks look bad on any pickup because they don't have a place to be. If the bed could be shortened 8" in the front to make a gap between the cab and bed like on a 923, that would be okay, provided the pipe was sized believably and you had something on both sides--the 923 has the air intake on the other side and room for the old combat tire between the cab and the bed with a little crane to help get it out. I don't know if a pickup bed could be made to look natural like this, but a flatbed could.

Having a pipe sticking out of the cargo area looks bad. Especially a 5" or 6" chimney.
