it's quite possible(probable,even)that you'd get it into two gears at once on at least one of the transmissions.then,when power is applied-something's gotta give

i would have to look under it for a spell. then hoping theres no trickery, driving it away is possible.

i got no room for trickery.
you'd probably figure it out with a bit of investigation.it's the guys that just try moving things around you gotta worry about.
got a call at work before from the wife when she was using it to drive the kid to school,she bumped something she shouldn't have and couldn't get it to move.made the mistake of getting the auto shop teacher to look at it.
by the time she got on the phone to me it was like talking a stewardess into landing a 747.got it sorted out,though.
she didn't drive it after that.
ok,while it may not be progress in the strictest terms,i've got some dates set.
i just rebuilt the leg from a johnson 225 for the guy that has the sandblaster here.i told him as paymant i'll get the blasting done on the frame and suspension arms from the truck.so july 15 i have to have it all ready to cart down to his yard,and rub off some rust.
i'm also tearing down the wheelie machine,so i'll get the engine crossmember i built for the ranger back.being able to bolt up the engine will certainly help things along.
work is still getting in the way of fun stuff,but it's winding down now.time to make up for lost time.

the last two summers i had mega-projects going on,and lost all my build time.this year i made sure to leave a little time open.there's too much half-done stuff hanging around here

i know what you mean in the half doen projects dept.... im hoping to have my one big money pit finished within 2 weeks then its new tires on the f150!! then another $ pit....
