Hubs won't lock

I installed a manual tcase in my 99 b3000 and now the hubs won't engage. I tried plugging just the shift motor in and turning the knob on the dash but the hubs didn't engage. The hubs worked before the swap. Is there a way to full the computer to engage the hubs or do I need to permenately lock them or het selectables.

Sounds like a perfect time to swap a set of AVM manual locking hubs on it.

I think thats what he was fishing for.

I got some and like them very well. But know too that they tend to fall off sometimes (probably due to being heavier), thereby causing severe axle/bearing problems. I put hose clamps over the little plastic catches on mine hoping that will help.
