I got both sides done and drove it around. Flexed on a tree stump and now the back scrubs a little WTF over? So I'm gonna take it to an alignment shop tomorrow and see if they can fix the camber without breaking my wallet! If not, I'm going to take the F150 springs back off put the old ones back on and get some f150 spacers. and hope that does it!? Also if I drop it back down in the front will itlevel out the backand keep it from scrubbing?:icon_confused::annoyed:

Look on the bright side, you've still got one sweet looking first gen.

agreed, one sick ass truck. whats the mirrors from? an f150?

No. I thinks it's a chevy:shok: Don't ask me, they were on it when I got it. I almost pulled some of an F150 yesterday when I was at the JY. But if I take these springs back, it's on like Donkey Kong! Thanks for the kool opinions!:icon_thumby:

It's just a PITA to pull those wheels and spring nut again to get those springs off!:annoyed:

howd the f150 coils fit in the bucket? any modification besides the clamp to hold the spring in place? and what size are your tires? 31x10.5s?

The coils fit okay after I bent up the two coil retaining pins closest to the shocks and actually, I cut the middle one off and the coil seated right up where to old one sat nice and snug! My tires are 31x10x5's.

guys with cherokees use f150 springs to lift their rigs about 3" why couldn't you use Jeep springs to lift your rig. they are easily avaialable

well the the F150 springs lift cherokees about 3-4", how much do they lift rangers? from there we can get a goot idea and I bet the ride would be better that the stiffer f150 springs

They lifted mine right at 2" inches. But it throws your camber way out. I'll have to see tomorrow if it can be fixed!

I heard some rangers with f-150 coils can be aligned and some can not be. All out TTB and TIB rangers have a mind of there own. I added .750 thick coil spacers to my 97 and got about 1.5 lift outta them. Alignment was a breeze so maybe yours will work out for you. It looks good minus the camber.

They Have a kit that adjusts the caster and camber and takes out the non adjust. What it is is 2 concentric circles that fit inside each other.Mines raised 2" and put back with these.I lucked out had a friend that has alignment tools put it right in for me.Any lift in the spring is multiplied by 1.5 by the TTB.

you could try Jeep Grand Cherokee (ZJ) Coils Upcountry coils will lift an XJ about 2" you can actually get them from parts stores new at around $60 a pair IIRC been a few years since I looked should jift you about 1 1/2"

I'm going to the alignment shop tomorrow so keep your fingers crossed for me and maybe a small prayer! If that don't work it's off with the new and on with the old! I gonna try some of the F150 metal stock spacers. I just want to get it to were the damn wheels don't scrub. I was backing it in for the evening and I noticed it wasn't the back scrubbing now, it's the damn front still! Just enough to be a PITA but if I am cramming it on a trail it could be bad. I guess I'm still gonna have to trim the dang fenders! We'll see tomorrow! I just don't want it to look crappy, I want to keep all the trim in tact till I get my fender flares. Is that too much to ask?

Here's a pic I took of the two different spring heights
