Yes yes, I know there are other posts about this, but I think mine is a little bit different. My pwr. window on my 94 is stuck down and will not come back up. I took the door panel and the insulation off. When I push the putton and feel the motor at the same time, I can feel a little click which is the motor trying to push it. My guess is that the window fell off it's track. So, I need to get access to the motor. I try to push on the window to go up, but nothing. I can push up with all of my strength (in a small acess hole) on the window and press the button but nothing. It is very stuck. This is why i do not think it is the motor. Any suggestions??????

Ford window problems are usually the gears, not the motor. If you can hear the circuit "click," I would guess a regulator problem. The gears inside the regulator are made of white plastic. As the plastic ages, it deteriorates and jams the mechanism. Since the motor is current sensitive, as this is what makes it stop at the top and bottom, it cannot overcome the stuck gearing.

This is a common problem, and you can get a gear kit from most auto parts. You can remove the motor and mechanism by taking out three screws holding it to the door panel, 8mm if I remember correctly. Two of the screws are accessable from the outside of the door panel, and the third is hidden behind the panel. You will see a dimple where the screw should be. Drill a hole in the dimple, and you will see the screw behind it.

Once you free the motor, raise the door glass up out of the way, and hold it up with a stick or something. The motor is then easy to remove. Take the plate off the gear assy, and you will see the gears.:)shady

Thanks I pulled up on the window really hard and heard a click. Turns out it was jammed. Thanks for your help.

It will probably jam again. If it does, gears are bad. Good luck.:)shady

yeah it has been doing this on and off for about 8 months. Only happens every 3 months or so

@ Shady...
Does this fix go back into the '80s models?

I'm not 100% positive, but they are probably all the same. The gear assembly on the motor is round shaped, and the drive gear for the window regulator is to the outside, not internal. The motor assembly detaches from the regulator:)shady

Thanks for the info. I'll add it to my "To Do" list.

I think I'm gonna need a bigger piece of paper.
