I found a 50 inch bar for $100 but will a 50 inch fit the roof of a ranger? I measured the roof and its about 42 inches but people said the would go for a 50 anyway. I wanna know if anyones done it or has pictures of a 50 or 42 in. Bar on a ranger

You will have 4 inches of overhang on each side. Not too horrible but it might look funny

A quick way to give you an idea is cut a 2x4 down to 50 inches and see how it looks

Those photos are not coming up, Bro. Can't wait to see how the light bar came out.

Having it overhang isn't so bad, you get more light on both sides.

I'd like to know where you found a 50" LED for $100

i put a 42 on my truck i think any thing bigger than that and you would have to have some kind of mounts, pics in my sig

It shows 40" lightbar in your siggy. It must suck to have a shrinking LED light bar...

hmm.. nice catch. now i dont remember if it way 40" or 42" ill have to measure... if the e-bay brand light bar shrinks maybe its not so great =P

Came out great!!! I am glad you got the Yakima roof mounts and the bar to use for the light. That is the perfect size for the Ranger!!!

Thanks man, gonna be putting up a write up about the bar once i can get out and get some pics for distance and what not.

Great. Can't wait to see that post. Get good pics with the hardware you used. Some of my buddies said they would either powercoat or paint the brackets black. I think they look good either way.

Im going out tomorrow after work so i should have the write up done by monday.
For the brackets i will probably paint it for rust protection.
