OK...94 xl with std cab and bench seats. I have a set of '93 mustang hatch back seats and want to install. Should everything line up and fit with the drilling of holes for the interior track...INPUT needed!

It should. I just put some fox mustang seats in my 93 std cab. Just swap the seat tracks. As long as you have the split bench and not full bench.

problem is...full bench seat! What problems can be expected?

Pretty sure the tracks are way different. Gotta get a split bench/ bucket set from a salvage yard. Not sure for drilling after that. The tech library should have more info.

"If you have a conventional bench then you will need to replace your tracks with split-bench/bucket-seat tracks. (Toss your solid bench tracks they are completely different).

You will have to run a Tap through some pre drilled holes in the bottom of the seat frames. The holes are already there but unthreaded.

If you have a conventional cab Ranger you will probably have to use the "halo" style headrest used in Mustangs and Escort GT models, as the pillow style will hit the rear window. This forces the seat back into a very upright position. (and is EXTREMELY uncomfortable)

If you have a Supercab Ranger or a Bronco2 headrest clearance isn't an issue.

One other word of warning Ranger Standard-cab, Ranger Supercab and Bronco II's all have different floor pan profiles and so use different seat tracks, so if you want to put buckets or a split-bench into a std cab Ranger you must get your seat tracks out of a std cab Ranger." - from tech library

So based on what you just told me...these seats won't work!

I can not say for certain as I have not tried. The information in my last post came from the tech library. From my understanding you will need different tracks and the head rests might hit the rear window. But I can not say for sure.

OK...not going to worry about the headrest issue. It looks ok! The key is the tracks for this to be successful.
I will check the tech talk!
Thanks!

You can always change to the halo type headrests after you have installed your new seats. I like the halo headrests and was even able to install them on my stock 1977 Mustang seats.

In the tech section it says that Mustang seats fit into Rangers but it does not say up to what year Mustang seats. I have a 96 extended cab with a squished out driver's seat. What years of Mustangs will fit in a Ranger?

The mustang seats will bolt right to your Ranger split bench/60-40 tracks, but you gotta have the 60-40 tracks...hit the boneyards. Just take the headrest off if it hits the cab window, or jack the seat forward a little. I put a pair of Mustang buckets in my 93 XLT supercab Ranger and they were good for a few months, but they are not made for us BOBs (big ol boys)...they are made for the little people, so I had to replace the broke down driver's bucket for a Windstar driver's bucket seat. Took a little modification, but it works and it has an armrest, too.
