coil spacer and extended radius arms?

hi i have a 2in coil spacer on my 91 ford ranger extended cab. im on a tight budget right now but i want to get the most flex with the stock coil. is there anyone that has put extended radius arms on a stock set up. i know sky jackers and tuff countrys need 4 ins. james duff said i might be able to put theirs on with the right camber bushing. does anyone have advise or a suggestion on what i can do to get the max flex out of it.
 
Yes I put the JD extended arms on my 89 BII with stock Explorer coils and experienced no issues. I highly recommend them. They are built well and can take some abuse. Currently I have upgraded to Moog replacement coils for a stock F150 which gave me a couple inches of lift and a great ride.

Here it is now. It flexs with the best.

Thing you have to realize now is the stock shock will limit any gain you might have achieved with the extended radius arms
 
ok with this advise what kind of camber bushing do i need to use and what kind of shocks should i get. im trying to get the most flex from stock lay any advise i can get.
 
With a 2" spacer youll probably need a 2 or 2.5 degree camber bushing. Being stock you really dont need any crazy expensive shocks so I would suggest Rough Country Nitrogen charged shocks.
 
As for shocks I waited until I installed the F150 coils and then measured for them. James Duff recommended to measure the static length so I did and then called them with that measurement and they recommended the correct shocks. I have been very pleased with their shocks not to mention their customer service.

thanks everyone. im seriously thinking about doing the same set up as you sbsrlewis i hope that is ok. ill take any advise that anyone can give me. i just bought my ranger and i have to fix some things before i do something like this but i will slowly piece it together

You bet. If you go with F150 coils you will have to change the lower coil mounts too. I used the JD ones for the early Bronco and had to do slight mods to them to work. Had to enlarge the hole in the middle for the bolt that goes thru them and thru the radius arms onto the beam and then notch them to go around the beam where it starts up to attach to the knuckles.

thank you i was looking at that part on jd website. i noticed the bucket was differnt also did you modify it or was that bought?
 
No mods needed for the upper bucket. I used it because it allowed me to go to the double shocks up front.
