Anybody know where to get a aftermarket cam or have mine re-ground for more hp? i have tried Tom Morana no answer and he wont return phone calls. any help would be great...

Delta Cams and Camcraft are domestic companies that can do a regrind for you.

comp cams, lunati, and crane also do custom grinds.

not sure if crane went out of business though

Doing what most of us do the stock FORD cam does the job well. A different camshaft will provide HP at different rpm than most of us use.
What other modifications are you planning on doing with the new camshaft? If a higher rpm isn't planned a different camshaft will prolly SLOW YOU DOWN!

You aren't going to find any off the shelf cams for the 3.0. Anything available will have to be a regrind, and those are pretty much all custom specs, so you're not going to be able to call them and say "give me one of your 3.0 cams".
I know that the 2 I mentioned in my first post have done cams for 3.0's before, but you're probably going to have to provide the specs you're looking for. If you want one of Morana's cams, just copy the specs from his site, and give them to your cam grinder. Choosing which grind you want is completely up to you though.

cam help

well let me get some input from you all, this is what i have done
port and polish heads,lower manifold,upper manifolid,underdive crank puley,jba headers,cold air intake.

what else would you suggest for a little hp's?

What are your goals, and your price range? How are you going to use the truck?
Forced induction or nitrous are the cheapest ways to make big power gains, but they're not really cheap.
Roller rockers are a popular mod, that most say wakes the 3.0 up a good bit, but Morana is the only one making them for the 3.0.
A good handheld tuner w/custom tunes would be a huge help too. It would help you take full advantage of the other mods you've done too.

maybe with the mods i have done i should just do a tuner! not looking for hugh hp's just a little more then stock. what would you suggest for a tuner?

An SCT X-Cal 3 will hold three custom tunes, plus your factory tune. You can determine what fuel grade you want to run, or whether you want power, fuel economy, maybe a torque tune for towing, etc.
Fred @ rogue performance has a great reputation within the Ford v6 community, and is pretty much the leading authority when it comes to 3.0 performance and tuning. If you want, you can also go to http://www.sctflash.com/#3 and enter your zip code to find an SCT dealer closer to home that will be able to help, but they may not have as much experience with the 3.0 as Fred.
