Truck shopping

Have been truck shopping the past few days and have narrowed it down to these two Rangers, which one is the best? Ironic that both are yellow.
2002 Ranger Edge, 119,000 miles:

The Edge has I believe a 4.0 (only guessing, there was no sticker in the window) , the other a 3.0. Both have automatics.
The Edge is going for $7300, the other $5980

Seems really high to me for that Edge. Hell, I am seeling my 04 for 4 grand more than that with a 3rd of the miles.
 
talk 'em down on the price for the edge and get that bad boy. that's a good looking truck, brother.
 
Is the edge 4x4? I would assume it is cause it cost more and would explain it being a grand more... (yes it is... says in the window...)


But I would definately go for the edge model newer one. Its 1,000 bucks more with fewer miles, Raised a bit higher, and with a yellow truck I would want paint matched bumpers and stuff. The chrome looks too out of place on the 00'.

You can usually tell if its a 4.0L too by the plastic splash shield the kinda protects the belt and radiator...
 
Gonna go up there and check out the Edge tomorrow after work tomorrow when someone's there at the dealership. The 2000 was my original choice before I went shopping. At least if it had a new grille and chrome bumper it wouldn't be half as bad.
 
both are pretty high for the mileage, but then again, its a dealership =P
 
I'd look into the Edge more. That's just me... I hate the look of 4th gens. No offense to anyone who owns a 4th gen. Haha!

And personally that really cheap for a truck like that! I paid 5,000 on my 99 with 87,000 from a private buyer, the one I was looking at was a 98 with 100,000 miles and they were asking about as much as that Edge there... Alaskan cars are expensive.

I guess I should have said the 4th gen is the least favourite gen of Ranger for me, I don't hate them. Jeepers! :thefinger:

technically the edge is a 4th gen :icon_twisted: :thefinger: the 4th gen started in 98 and they just facelifted iut every so often , according to most sources , 98 - present is the 4th gen , follows the same rules as the Fox mustangs , 3 different front ends , one generation of cars :icon_twisted: :icon_twisted:
