I have searched all over but cant find anything. I bout my 93 3.0 almost two years ago. I have never had a parking brake. I decided to get two new cables and see if that would fix it. The kid who I bought it from said they're "unhooked" in the hub. What am i missing?

He probably means that he has the cables unhooked at the rear shoe on each side.

I have both cable hooked up on each side. I think there is some pin on the lever that pushes the shoes out that is not in the hole its supposed to be in.

I think there is a pin on the lever that the cable goes into that is supposed to go into that hole in the pic.

Here's a '97 B4000 drum brake photo sequence I took because I can never remember what order all those springs & levers go. Maybe it'll help you? The e-brake cable is shown towards the end.
