So here it is guys!! This has been my little project over the last few days. These types of grilles are really popular on the street cars over in Europe, however I have never seen this mod done on a ranger (not saying I am the first though, just I've never seen it on a ranger). I have done this mod a few times when I lived back in England, but never on a Ranger. It is quite simple and I have been creating a tech video that will be posted in the next week or so, and I'll put it on youtube.

Give me your opinions - I won't be offended!!!

Because of my European connections and the fact that I think it is European styling... I have named it 'The Euro Style Grille' ....any objections???????

Hmmm I gotta see it on the truck before I can really form an opinion

Did that to mine 5 years ago....then replaced it with a stocker when I rearended a car and broke it too many places to be bothered to fix it. I used a fairly tight stainless mesh in the opening, painted it black and reinstalled the ford symbol.

Way back when....

Should look pretty good on your rig. I did that to my grill about a year ago using home depot gutter guard and some silver paint. Now im getting ready to cut a big whole in my grill to fit the winch.

I use to do that to my imports, and msot recently did it to a few portions of my volkswagen, I am preparing to have my bumper sandblasted and powder coated black I may just do that as well but I may put some driving lights behind it. Looks good I am so glad someone else did it first now I willl know how ranger will look with it.

So now I guess my brand new grill will be pulled and replaced with mesh maybe even in th lower valance as well.

By the way, that is drain guard. fits perfect and $1.97 from Home Depot. I read were one guy had it behind the standard grille for 4 years now and not a bit of rust! He claims he is on the rust belt as well, where ever that is. The drain guard comes aluminized so there is no need to paint it silver! Only paint it if you want it a color!

Rust belt's like.. NY and whatnot. The upper states that use salt on the roads.

I have gutter guard on my truck. No paint or anything, and no rust at all. It's been on there since about a month or two after I got my truck so two years now.
