I've got a set to put on my '93. There are 3 mounting studs that stick through the holes in the door. The top one mates right up, but the bottom 2 have a thicker plastic barrel than my original ones. It looks like I can cut the plastic barrels down, re-screw the studs in and they should work fine. Does anyone have experience with this?

Thanks for the link! I knew I wasn't the first person to think about this conversion!

Sorry to bring this up again, but would this work on a '94-'97 Mazda too? I'm sure it would the set up looks the exact same, I just want to be sure.

I wouldn't see why not.

I actually brought this up a while back and I was told that the mirrors would be floppy as hell. So I stayed away from this Mod. Tell me how it goes so I can try it. I don't have electronic mirrors, so I was eyeing the EDGE mirrors

Yeah I think they'll work. I don't see why they would be floppy. I just don't even know if it's worth it they go for $90/mirror. That's a lot of money for a minor upgrade.

90 bucks a pop! wow, around here, I found two sets, one pair for 70 (all black) and the other pair I got them down to 60 because they had the blue cover and I told them my truck needed white ones. All at JY.

I don't see this as a Minor upgrade when you have those cheepo flop mirrors that look like POS. They are small don't help much whenever you are towing.

Yeah I don't like those little floppy mirrors that mazda and ford use on the base models. I like the sporty looking mirrors I have now on my mazda, they are a little small though. I only saw those mirrors on Ebay for that much. I imagine a dealer would be the same or more expensive.. I don't know where else I could find them. If I could get a pair of them for 70 bucks it'd be no question, I would do it in a heartbeat...

Just found a set of them on the internet for $80. I'll definately be getting them now.. They come with a chrome and black cap for the mirror. I'll probably paint the black caps red to match my truck and I'll sell the chrome caps for 5 bucks on craigslist! haha

I want the same thing (the new square ones will look weird on a 95).

I have looked into the Manual version of those though. They run around 60 a pair (which is way cheaper than the electric ones). I'm tired of parking on campus and when people pass by, they accidentally hit the mirror with their backpacks. Maybe save this little idea for summer since I need to check my budget for now. I need a summer job:bawling:

yeah im tired of people hiiting my mirrors these they will just fold up i have a friend who put the new 09 model mirrors on a 96 they look way too big i dont like them
i found some of the oval ones on ebay for 30 a pair there electric but since i dont have electric mirrors they wont work but it doesnt matter

I did it last week.. I replaced the flag style ones on my '94 B3000 with the electric ones from a Ranger Splash, not sure the year, between '94 and '97...

They fit perfectly.. no modifications.
