hi everyone.
what do you guys think.
my friends at the local lathe shop were turning a 4.0 sohc to carb. but they dropped the project, i think it didnt work or at least they werent able to make it work..
i think that it wouldnt perform as good.. thats what i think.

what would the ups and downs be of this?

is it possible and theyre just dumb?

anyone done this?

anything is possible with enough time and money. but it wont perform as well as an EFI system. theres a reason carbs are obsolete :icon_thumby:

Currently working to get a 1993 4.0 on a holley.

but it will work; I have seen it in a race car

The usual reason for wanting to switch from EFI to carburetion is cluelessness.

Those with a clue don't do it. There is nothing AT ALL to be gained, and quite a bit to lose.

^ I lol'd at that response!
