valve cover troubles...

hey, i just got my first truck on saturday:thefinger:, and its a 1994 ford ranger 4WD
with a 4.0L V6 engine. but anyways, the valve covers leaks, and its lookin a lil rusted so i was gonna get new ones. but i cant find the part number anywhere online, any help????
 
u might wanna take your covers off and look at where the holes are on the cover cause they might be dented from being tighten down to much and if they are dented put them on a flat surface and flatten them out with a ball ping hammer and get new gaskets and some gasket sealer and put it on. that may solve your problem
 
dented, try rusted the hell out. that was why mine were leaking on my 97. I found a set at the junkyard and painted them up. there are no aftermarket valve covers for the 4.0. :(

you got you a nice saturday or sunday project ahead of you...

Note the small rust hole by the bracket. this was teh source of most of my oil leak. the rest was the gasket itself.

Another view of the same valve cover. the rust hole was just below the PCV valve
