I recently had a Radiator, water pump, and lower hose leak. Considering how cold it is outside (here in Michigan) I took it to a Friend of the family's shop instead of doing it myself. I had him replace pretty much everything that the coolant touches. I had the Radiator, all hoses, and the water pump replaced. That was yesterday, Today, my heat does not blow hot, not even warm. On the way to the shop, it was working just fine, no noises or anything. Does anyone know what the problem could be?

could be any number of things. id take it back to the friend that worked on it and have him fix it right.
possible causes are a stuck (or removed?) t-stat, clogged heater core, stuck blend door, low coolant, ect.

Thanks, I am going to replace the Thermostat today, it's only 7-10$. Before i took it to get fixed i didnt have any coolant... It wasn't over heating but i still had heat.

I'm not familiar with "burping" the radiator. Please elaborate.

I installed a new thermostat today. I drove 4 miles on the freeway after letting it run in the driveway for a few. I'm still not getting heat.
I'm guessing that your heater core simply needs flushed out. It was super easy on my '92, but I'm not sure how much different it is with a later style. You should've seen the chunks of goop that came out of my heater core... I'm guessing it was the accumulation of many years' worth of radiator stop leak.
I've got an appt. to take it back to where I got it fixed in the morning. I'm sure they'll figure this all out. I'll keep in all the suggestions you all mentioned. Much appreciated. I'll post again when I know more. Thanks!

It may have the lines to the heater core crossed to where it isnt getting any inlet coolant to the core. Just a suggestion.

was the system bleed to get all the air out? i would also try to flush the heater core but since you didnt do the work i would go back to the guy who did.

By burping I mean, is all the air out of the system. I've always just left the cap off the radiator while the truck is running and added coolant/water as needed. Not sure if this is the best method but it's seemed to have worked for me. I guess if the truck has been running for a bit though, if there was air in there you would get spots of hot and cold air through the vents.

If all your heater/radiator hoses are getting hot then I'd look at the blend door next. Isn't there a valve inline with the heater core that cuts off the flow to the core when the A/C is on? Could that be faulty? Just a thought.
Turns out the thermostat gasket was installed wrong by the shop. The thermostat was over the gasket so the seal wasn't even. The best part is now its in the shop for exhaust work. My manifold gasket decided to take a shit. I wish it wasn't so cold out, I'd be able to do this stuff myself. It's just a pain to be in Michigan..... Thanks for everyones inputs! Much appreciated.
