made me think about what mine would look like with my rack up there.

my plan is explorer luggage rack, make feet that will bolt to my rack and will slide in the luggage rack bars. so its removable, also use a pig tail on my lights-- like a 4 wire trailer harness.. when removed the only thing you see are the long bars from the ex's luggage rack.

Hey 1989 Bii be careful with those hose clamps and with a load on that rack.

If you have to do a hard stop or fast manuaver to avoid hitting some one or something those hose clamps probably will snap and then who knows where the rack could end up at........not good.

I think you can find u-bolts that are square shape from a hardware store or menards... thats what my plan is if I use my explorer rack and build a luggage rack.

What size conduit is that 1/2 inch or 3/4? It is a interesting design with the bolts......I am going to try and weld mine together with the good old Lincoln Arc welder.
keep the project going:icon_welder:

I used four conduit straps on mine. I guess they are pretty much the same as u bolts. Drilled holes through the stock rack bars and bolted the rack to those.
