    Not to sound stupid but if I can hear the fuel pump activating, can it still be bad? I do have gas in my truck(1/4 tank)

    No, line is not kinked and I did not put a pressure gauge on it. I disconnected the fuel line from the filter. Turned the ignition on, fuel pump turned on but no fuel came out.

    Yes, the line was leaking and the pump runs when I turn the key to the on position.
