I have the perfect example, but it would hurt some people's feelings...Well, considering this is America...

That and if they wanted to make a tug of war fair they should have used the expedition instead of the explorer.
and in the truck commercial they show a Case tractor pull up which is tied in with Ford somehow i believe.
motor is erelavent the Ford wasent even in gear. seriously WTF the derango is a bigger heavyer rig. if Dodge had any respect for there potential customers, they sould have atleast tried to make it look like a fair tug. put a soft compound tire on the durango, and lockers. then let em tug it out. but no they thinkl they are so much smarter than all of us, and expect us to bieleve that the durango could just tug it that easy.hmmm hemi v8 vs a v6.....duuhhh
did you guys see the top gear where they compared the diesels and the ford clearly won
They are no longer tied together in any way. Years ago there was some contract manufacturing going on where Case and Ford tractors/construction equipment products would share production facilities but I can't think of a single example of this currently going on. Ford purchased New Holland which was later purchased by Fiat. NH merged with Case to become Case New Holland (CNH) in the late 90s. Fiat aqcuired nearly 90% of CNH stock. Fiat now owns a portion of Chrysler so the most current connection would be between Chrysler and Case even though Fiat stock demerged at the beginning of this year to become Fiat Spa (automotive) and Fiat Industrial (CNH and Iveco engines, etc.).
