your kidding right?

Wow. Havent seen these commercials, and it is completely biased.

Ford is a better automaker for so many reasons, which is why I stand by their integrity and build. Granted, some things are cheaply done, but hey, that's engineering and cost/benefit. They are a business, making money. Dont forget that.

However, the Durango is a POS with a high rollover rate, the highest back around a decade ago. No everyone knows cars like we do; they see one car getting pulled by another, that's it.

Dodge could advertise fuel ecomony, using 2 different engines, without mention of the powerplant. Although this is misleading, they are technically not lying and not making false slander. Oh, and hearing tires squeal just adds to the drama of the exhibition.

People love smoke, loud noise, and complete domination. Gladiators fought wounded, and at a disadvantage like this pathetic spectacle.

Geez, Chrysler is a brand I will never own again.

That and if they wanted to make a tug of war fair they should have used the expedition instead of the explorer.

and in the truck commercial they show a Case tractor pull up which is tied in with Ford somehow i believe.

They are no longer tied together in any way. Years ago there was some contract manufacturing going on where Case and Ford tractors/construction equipment products would share production facilities but I can't think of a single example of this currently going on. Ford purchased New Holland which was later purchased by Fiat. NH merged with Case to become Case New Holland (CNH) in the late 90s. Fiat aqcuired nearly 90% of CNH stock. Fiat now owns a portion of Chrysler so the most current connection would be between Chrysler and Case even though Fiat stock demerged at the beginning of this year to become Fiat Spa (automotive) and Fiat Industrial (CNH and Iveco engines, etc.).

They rear brakes aren't disabled, the reverse lights are. He threw it in park.

my B2 coulda pulled that durango if the driver did what the driver of the explorer did...

did you guys see the top gear where they compared the diesels and the ford clearly won

hmmm hemi v8 vs a v6.....duuhhh
motor is erelavent the Ford wasent even in gear. seriously WTF the derango is a bigger heavyer rig. if Dodge had any respect for there potential customers, they sould have atleast tried to make it look like a fair tug. put a soft compound tire on the durango, and lockers. then let em tug it out. but no they thinkl they are so much smarter than all of us, and expect us to bieleve that the durango could just tug it that easy.

I'll remember that stout Cummin's history...as I'm rebuilding the one that let go in our 8950 tractor.

Actually, most Cummins are kind of pukey in tractors, unless they were a "CDC" in the Case IH tractors. A farmer has a White 180 with a 8.3 Cummins that they put on the lagoon pump, and it just smokes and overheats where my "little" 436 IH in my 5088 sings all day without any smoke, and turns it faster too.

But it's just a commercial, not a big deal.

Yeah. Those challenges were stupid.

They haven't totally scrambled the eggs yet though, if you want Ford or New Holland you have to go to a FNH dealer. If you want Case, IH or Case IH stuff you have to go a Case IH dealer. It all goes back to the same place but they still have it kind of seperated out.

It is too bad Ford got out of everything they used to, they actually made a lot of the stuff Dodge is so proud that also bought engines from the same place they do. They could have even played it into the "if you want it built right, build it yourself" saying they had for their new diesel.
