And yeah, that's what I was illuding to on the pistons, they cost big boy money, my janky build has been running for 10 years now... I used the 4 best out of 7 pistons and ball honed the bores with new rings even with the ridges at the top from the old setup and tapered bores from same... sure it ain't great but it's been working

A Tweecer RT will allow you to do whatever you want with the stock computer&harness with full tuneability.. turbo.. blower.. nitrous.. all three at once..

The unit itself costs 450$ and the tuning software is free. Tweecer offers remote tuning as well if you don't wanna mess with it yourself or can't find a local tuner who wants to mess with it for whatever reason.

do you use a tweecer? for sure they were my ideal for some years

but there are reasons these days depending on intentions to go aftermarket.

N/A for the meantime.. it's getting one of boports fancy heads. Big cam, big valves, ported, shaved for 10.5:1.. it'll get some dished pistons and a turbo later on down the road.

How much did that set you back? I'm considering the same route when/if I fix up the 85.

I don't have it yet but.. it's gonna be $2,729.90 shipped to my doorstep.

He certainly doesn't give them away but.. all things considered it's definitely not robbery either.

I don't, and due to some rather annoying circumstances it may not happen this year unfortunately. We'll see though.

Currently having a battle between my inner optimist and my inner pessimist.. the prior wants to believe that I should at least be able to get it before winter hits.. but the latter doesn't want me to get my hopes up just to be disappointed lol.
