Wtf?

but we take our info (just like 99% of part dealers) from the Moog catalogue and that is the way moog lists the ball joints.

If this is true, maybe we should be bombarding Moog with these inquiries.

Dunno if it'll eliminate all this type of crap in dealing with '91-'97 trucks that has been ongoing for some 20+ years now, but it'd at least be a step in the right direction.

1990 is the ONLY year where both a D28 and D35 exists where the D28 uses different parts (external of the differential housing) than the D35. It was nothing more than a mid-year switch to a better axle.

Found some interesting links.

Rockauto.com lists a ball joint for a 1990-1997 Ranger with the Dana28 axle. Actually, every single major brand is listed if you do a search on any Ranger between 1990-1997, Dana28 axle is there.

www.fordparts.com says that a dana28 DOES exist in any 1990-1997 Ranger. They will even sell you the ball joint for it. (part #s 3V049 & 3V050)

Feel free to do a search on both sites since you guys seem to have a lot of free time.

I am usually a very easygoing person but I got some really nasty emails out of the blue from a lot of people from here. Did not appreciate that!! You know what? You guys are probably right, maybe a post 1990 Dana28 does not exist, it's probably an aftermarket catalogue screw-up but IT IS there and it is there in every major manufacturer catalog. Including, it seems, on a Ford site. (www.fordparts.com). My listing on ebay would not have hurt anybody. If the Dana28 does not exist, no one is going to buy that set. Actually, I have sold quite a few of these over the years and never had a problem.

I am actually very much a Ford (Mustang) guy had a number of Mustangs in my younger years including a 10 second 88 LX trunk. I even had a 91 ranger with the 2.3 4 banger (could not kill that thing) I have never owned anything domestic that was not a Ford. Nowadays I am a Toyota guy but that's another story. I knew saying that I am not a fan of anything that Ford made would get under your skins :) just like you guys got under mine :)

I just wanted you to know that my listing is a valid mistake (if that makes any sense).

BUT, if you are looking for some decent ball joints / steering, check-out XRF. We are selling a lot ball joints for the Super Dutys and the Dodge Rams. People specifically ask for the XRF. They come with a million -mile warranty. People prefer them over the Moogs.

Mods, you will probably delete the last paragraph of this post (about XRF) but I would appreciate if you left the rest up.

Thanks.....

oh, well if moog says it's so, then it must be so. stay tuned my next build will be a 1993 bronco 2

he's "never been a fan of anything ford made".....told you he was a chevy guy

i was lookin at them, they look like they're for a d35, but yeah, i wouldnt buy anything from him
You will see this alot on ebay he will sell you parts and it is your responsibility to do the research and not trust his. He will sell it to you charge you for shipping and if it is wrong you can ship it back and he will find a scratch and not give you the refund. The guy is probably a crook and only a fan of someone elses money you can bet he does the same with chev and mopar parts too.
