Wtf is in my oil d:

That's what I always thought 7.5. Doesn't make any wierd sounds so I guess it's ok.

if you crack your head or blow a head gasket you will most likely know it. when i cracked the heads on my 2.9, the oil cap was covered in that snot, like dripping off lol. and the dipstick. i beat the livin crap outta that 2.9 with the cracked heads for a good 3 weeks. drove it to school like that until it ran out of oil in the parking lot and i still made it to mcdonalds then home (20 miles :P)

im glad that thing died the way it did. it was fun haha.

I never wish away potential problems that have catasrophic consequenses. Unless your rich and like to waste money and time.

That little amount is probably condensation. If the oil itself isn't milky, there is really nothing to worry about. No point in diagnosing something that isn't broken... Now, if it were all over the place and looked like your oil cap was packed full of boogers, and your oil looks like chocolate milk with orange juice with the pulp mixed in, then I'd be checking it out. I'd wipe it all off, though.

If its just on the cap and at the top of the filler neck you are OK. Buy a new PCV valve, might help a bit, but it's nothing to worry about.

If you drain the oil and that is what comes out, just go fine a new engine.

Could be condensation or it might not be...

Drain the oil and fill w/ fresh oil, top off the radiator. Drive it and see whats on the dipstick and the level of the coolant. Of course if you are puffing white smoke...well..You're done for.

Bet you are fine. No need to jump to conclusions just yet.

So I drained my oil and im letting it sit empty for a couple hours to completely drain, and then im gonna put new oil and a new filter in. Thanks guys. Also Im going to be swapping in a 4.0 soon anyway.

Could be condensation, especially if you make a lot of short trips. You can also send your oil to a lab, they will tell you if there is water or coolant in it.

www.blackstone-labs.com , costs about $25 last I looked.
