my house just shook for like a second or 2, possibly an earthquake? im in newfoundland which is a province that is part of canada but seperated at about 2 miles, maybe an underwater earthquake

I live in St. John’s and didn’t feel a thing. Gas explosion maybe or thunder storm looks nasty out? Check out www.iris.edu for the next few days it could show up. I checked VOCM nothing mentioned yet. You remember reading about the 1929 Grand Banks 7.2 earthquake that sent some waves about 4 meters high and struck the cost at 105 km/h?? Hope you don’t live near what waters edge!! If it was an earthquake you should watch the water level for the next few hours.
