i voted yes. but it would have to be like the one on gears i think that it was called the banshee. and the motor was a 347.

I voted NO!

Ive tried driving thoe extra small cars. I don't fit in them Arms are too long legs are too long. I don't fit.

Heck the rangers steering wheel is too low still. My knees caps smack the column all the time.

My mom has a 1990 Miata (5 speed) that was super fun to drive when it ran right (been parked nearly 2 years now.) My boyfriend is 6'3 and also enjoyed it (despite the lack of room... then again he owns a Chevette) He took it all around one day while I was at work and it attracted all kinds of girls (even though the car was filthy and has a gigantic dent in the side.) Every time I see a group of Miatas, it's all middle aged men driving them. They're chick magnets, even though I'm not particularly attracted to them. Like I said, it's a fun little car, but it definitely gets old fast! I have an '88 Lincoln with a 302, we've been joking about sticking it into the Miata...

not that i wouldnt drive one, i physically cant...at 6'5" my knees would probably hit the rearview mirror

if it was free and had a small block ford yes....otherwise no.

i would drive the hell out of a miata but it wouldnt stay stock. im not gonna sit here and say i would swap in a v8 like most of the other guys (cause you know 3/4 of them are full of it) but i would lower it and throw on poly bushings anywhere i could. maybe some performance struts and some stiffer sway bars. they are a great car for what it is. RWD on top of that!

oh... this is all assuming that i actually comfortably fit inside one. like everybody else said, they are tiny.

my dad had one, and it got passed onto my mom. its got a brand new motor. its pretty damn fast too

i enjoy driving it every now and then

dude. miatas stock bottom out on speed bumps! I seriously doubt anyone would lower one

dude the one person I know with one avoid walmart and such (speed bumps) and also cannot drive in your basic rain due to 4-6 in of water being too much

lol you like calling people dude huh? either way, ive got a lowered car and a lifted truck. theres a time and a place for both. it doesnt matter what you think or who you know, theres nothing wrong with lowering a miata. anybody with enough desire to lower car is gonna know the pros and cons and are gonna take the good with the bad. if you dont want one, or couldnt deal with it, dont get one. that certainly wouldnt stop me though.

People lower everything bro.

I wouldn't say the mazda rotary was a failure seeing as they are a more sought after car than almost every ford in that era...

Problem with the rotary is that you'd be lucky to get 50K out of the engine

Really? I'm lucky I would have bought a second gen turbo'd one (all factory, not a single modification) with 130K on the clock, never rebuilt if I would have sold my Impreza instead of trading it in. Dude was selling it to get a hardtop for his s2k... he used the rx7 as a dd. Ran like a freakin champ.

Most people mod the engines though which does reduce engine life causing the complaint of the engines blowing early. There are many higher mileage never rebuilt rx7's out there that run well, it's what you do or how you treat the engine.

It's like saying a 3.0 will never make it past 100k without needing a major rebuild...

But due to the tuner nature and being ran to 9k at every shift yes they are more prone to failure.
