making two scoop like intakes behind the bud shield like this
would this work?

and then cutting two of the same type of hole on the inside of the hood, like this
would this work?

would this work at all?

can i ask for what?

well yes and no, any hole in the hood will let more air in, but since its right behind the bug shield it will have to go around it, and that path is very turbulent, and will make the air swirley,

well i just want alittle more air flow under the hood without cutting a big hole in the top or doing something that i will have to paint

Did you take all the factory intake off all the way to the core support? That would leave an opening on the passenger side for airflow. You may be able to create an opening on the driver side of the support too. I think through the grill is you best source if you don't cut through the body at some location.

Any cutting you do to the hood or exterior body panels will require "some" painting on the exposed metal or it will rust and look like crap. As mentioned. anything behind the bug guard will cause turbulent air and not allow a positive flow of air.

You could cut openings that those adhesive scoops would cover, but most of those look cheap and like a ricer - in my honest opinion that is. If I was going to do this I would use a Mustang Cobra or GT style scoop blended into the hood or a cowl hood. But I understand you wanting to do as little as possible and get the most out of it. Good Luck and let us know what if anything you do. :icon_thumby:

ok thanks guys ill think of something. but ya that truck has nice paint and i really dont wanna mess that up. and that blue isnt really that easy to match

hazmat- what about a shaker. that way it would go from inside rather than in top of the hood. idk

i dont want to end up with somthing that looks gay.
or anything that woud suck mud and water(that not good) thats y im trying to stay away from the core sup.

Shaker hood or scoops are essentially like a cowl hood in that the opening is toward the windshield. The only problem I would see with one, is how it would be mounted under the hood - I mean do you have the room for such an intake.
A thought - it could be a fake shaker - in the sense that it would bring air into the engine compartment but not necessarily to the intake. The shaker portion would be mounted to the underside of the hood and lift up "with" the hood when open. Then you would only have to cut, protect the edges, and mount the shaker . . . just a thought.

yeah that what i was thinking. just make a fake shaker bolted to the underside of the hood and and put some type of trim on the edges. this would bring air in without welding and paintngthe hood. ill see if i can get a trans am shaker and take a pic of what it would look like......or maybe you and your crazzzzy ps skills could come up with somthing

hahaha.....no!
im trying to not make her look gay

Not all of them are those over used little dual ones. They make them like this too.

would this work?

Although they do look "gay" sometimes, they're cheap and can serve their purpose with a few modifications.

well thats the style shaker i was thinking also i was just thinking when i do my 350 swap i could really use the shaker then

that stick on look aint for me
