Got this truck for super cheap and I’m kind of deciding it’s fate....
First off it’s not the in the greatest condition as far as the body except for the face that it has NO RUST what so ever.
The engine is toast per the previous owners words. He ran it out of coolant (knowing what he was doing) and drove it till it just stopped.
So this thing needs an engine, clutch, maybe a transmission, locks, front bumper, fender, r/f lights (both) and whatever else comes along ... what would y’all do?

Why would you say it needs a clutch and transmission?

I would just put a junk yard to engine in it and run with it.

If its got good bones, body and frame with little rust, then yes, just pull the engine and swap with SAME SIZE

If its a manual trans then its fine, wouldn't be hurt by engine issue, automatic is a roll of the dice until you have a running engine to test it

Is the title clean?
Thats another issue if its not

Everything is worth fixing.

Spend the 4 or 500 on a junkyard motor and run it

To answer everyone’s questions... it does have good bones considering. I’ll be hitting the junk yard this weekend to get an engine and run it. Under all the garbage and a boat motor in the bed ... this thing is decent. I have a set of 2000 explorer limited 16” wheels for it and a dash pad.... the dash is cracked a little. Fingers crossed I can find a “decent” 4.0 in the junk yard. I’m pulling the bumper and fender and header panel this weekend as well.

And a clean title?
And in you hand, not the promise of "I can't find but I know its here somewhere"

Yes sir, this thing came with a clean title. Usually I have to fight it out of peoples hands!

Can’t believe I missed this, but I haven’t seen any of these.
This truck has absolutely no A/C!
HVAC box is strictly for heat lol short belt and all.... Maybe I’m over reacting a little bit I think it’s pretty cool!

It's pretty cool, until its not, and then there is nothing you can do about it.

Definitely worth fixing.

A/C takes too much space and loads the engine. Roll down the windows and enjoy life!

I've been in the Idaho panhandle.... a truck without AC would be fine, I'd think.

Texas.... not so much!
