woot new tow rig

ooooo, i have always loved the crewcabs in that body style.

So have I, I wanted this style truck in the beginning, but I got to good a deal on the 89. But love the way things work out in the end.

Sold it to a guy who is a missionary down in Gautamala. He's gonna drive it down there and leave it at the mission to haul supplies up and down the mountains where they build churches........and yes hes legit lol. Apparently its hard to get parts for newer trucks in S. America but those older IDI trucks are plentiful down there and parts are easily sourced.

Awesome! saw some guy drivin your 89 last week, figured it was a test drive, lol.

now thats cool :icon_thumby:

just a thought (if you can still get to the rig), leave your name and some basic contact info on a laminated piece of paper and hide it somewhere in the rig.

you never know, could get some cool pics in the mail someday.......

bastard:thefinger:

I have heard that same thing from all sorts of people in the last 48 hours lol.

Same in my area with the 92-97 Body styles.

I like the fact that it's a shortbed! Wish mine was, things are big! Congrats!

Rims installed and cleaned.......and just to prove what I preach, I installed some mastercraft AT2's on it as well in the 265/75LT16 LRE flavor......I have sold that tire to all my buddies and told them all when it was time for me to buy new that was what I was gonna go with.

And yes I even painted the hubs front/rear Blue. I know I know thats so "jeep" of me.

This truck towed my stuff 500 miles a few weekends ago down to the Badlands. It got 16.9 mpg doing 70 mph. My old 89 was lucky to see 8-9 mpg at 70 mph towing my junk. And the wifes 98 explorer in the back ground.

Turbocharger magic. I can't stand a diesel without a turbo. No power and loud as hell.

Great truck. That's the last Ford body-style I can stand. I like square trucks.
