won't start

87 xlt 4x4

Fixed main light switch yesterday and all was good went to get in the truck this AM and won't start. lights come on, fule pump ingauges, turn key and nothing. won't crank over no clicks nothing. starter coil is new, wires are new, rained last night? where is the starter relay located? or any other ideas would be helpful.

Try jumping the two big terminals of the relay next to the battery.

Jumped posts nothing Tapped it a few times -Read this tech somewhere on hear- and she started. Time for a new starter? solinoid? Thanks for the point in the right direction!

You tapped the solenoid on the fender a few times and it started?

If so, replace it.

If no click then it's the silenoid.
