:icon_confused:trying to figure out why b2 wont fire. ive replaced the alternator, starter, coil, solenoid, checked the timing, the only thing that ive done different is to run my fuel pump by a manual toggle switch. if anyone knows whats going on i'd appreciate the help

When you say won't fire do you mean there is no spark or the engine won't start?

I won't ask why you have the fuel pump on a manual switch.:D

ive checked the plugs and i am getting a spark but it wont start, it turns over like it wants to start but it just doesnt want to. the reason i went to a manual switch is because the plug in for the fuel pump wasnt turning the pump over. kind of a ballsy move i guess:dntknw:

OK, are you getting fuel to the carb?
I mean, is your fuel pump working?
Sorry, but there isn't a terribly large amount of information in your posts.
I would love to help you, and my rather rudimentary knowledge is greatly surpassed by that of other gentlemen on this site who could add their thoughts as well, but it is extremely difficult to identify problems without more information.

I guess the first thing would be to make sure you are getting fuel, but I think that pump is supposed to cycle on and off, which it can't do with a manual switch, so you could be over-supplying the gasoline to the carb as well.

Did this problem start after you put the fuel pump on a manual switch? Since you didn't say what engine you have, I assume it is EFI since you have an electric fuel pump.
There are 2 fuel pumps for an EFI. One in the tank and one on the frame rail under the cab, driver's side.
The one in the tank is a boost pump to get the fuel to the main high pressure pump on the frame rail. Both have to run.
It would be best to troubleshoot why the pump doesn't run like it should. There are safety issues about the way you have it now.
